This year, Alicia and I are participating in the Ruth Ellis Center's STRIDE weekend walk, to raise funds which will support critical community programs for LGBTQ+ young people.
The REC offers primary healthcare, mental health services, residential care facilities, and far more to our community. REC's drop-in center offers hot meals, laundry, a clothes closet, case management, support, and community for young people between 13 and 30, and the Ruth Ellis Center has been a staple of the Metro Detroit community for more than 20 years.
